GUIDE BY SNASA

Hey guys! It’s Steph here,

This guide is for my textured girls and boys. SnasaHairWay is a brand born from love and real hair journeys, here to take you on a journey to establish a hair care routine that actually works, like, for life! Okay, maybe that’s a bit dramatic, but you get the gist. It all started back in 2014 when I decided to do the “big chop.” I’d never even seen my curly hair before because of all the perms. That’s when I stumbled across natural hair content creators on YouTube. Seeing people who looked like me, with the same kinks, coils, and curls, rocking long, healthy, and beautiful natural hair was a game-changer. It made me realise I could embrace my curls too. I wanted to see how long my hair could grow, like, could it go past my shoulders? Waist-length even? That’s when I said goodbye to texturisers and hello to my natural hair journey.

From there, I started experimenting with natural oils and butters to see what worked for me, and honestly, I just ran with it. Little did I know, I was unintentionally creating hair care products, minus the branding! Fast forward a few years, and I officially launched my own handmade products, fuelled by passion and a desire to inspire all my naturally beautiful people to find joy in maintaining their hair. Now, I get it. Finding the energy to wash your hair can feel like a whole mission. You have to plan, make sure all your products are on hand, and if you forget something, it can throw the whole process off. One minute you’re prepping for wash day, and the next, a light breeze sends you drifting into bed, phone in hand, binge-watching funny videos. Meanwhile, your hair, unloved and neglected, is practically crying out for help. The internal debate kicks in, and you eventually tell yourself, “I’ll wash it another day.”

This guide is for that moment. For all my natural or texturised people, yes, even before the wig goes on, this is your reminder that your real hair deserves love too. Let’s make hair care feel doable, fun, and something you actually look forward to. We’ve all been there, right? But it’s time to flip that narrative. Instead of dreading wash day and thinking, “I guess I’ll wash my hair,” let’s start saying, “I’m excited for WASH DAY!”
